Propolis

What is it?
Propolis consists mainly of resins and bark of trees. These resins are collected by the honeybees and are then mixed with wax, honey and enzymes. In the hive, honeybees use this sticky substance to seal cracks in the hive and to strengthen and repair the honeycombs. Honeybees also use propolis to encase the carcasses of any invaders that make their way into the hive. It is believed that propolis has a sterilizing effect on the hive and wards off the threat of bacteria and viruses.

Propolis contains disease preventing phytochemicals!

Why should I use it?
It's known as nature's antibiotic! Propolis stimulates the healing process for internal and external infections. It has antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant and detoxifying properties. Propolis stimulates new tissue growth and reduces inflammation. Also great for mouth hygiene, great for bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease.

What form is it available in?
Propolis is available in capsules, tincture and throat spray. Honeyland adds ground propolis to honey and fruit jams.

How should I store it?
Store at room temperature.

How much should I take?
Tincture form is taken internally; 2 to 3 drops per day for prevention; 10 to 20 drops per day for treatment. Recommended dosage is 500 mg daily.
